Slippery elm is a horse´s and / or dog's stomach and intestinal helper. Slippery elm contains mucus ingredients which, when mixed with water, forms a gel. The gel causes membrane which enhancing and soothing effect on the mucous membranes (mouth, throat, abdomen and intestine). Excellent for animals suffering from sensitive stomach, gastric ulcer and against gastric acids.
Slippery elm contains antioxidants that helps to relieve symptoms of bowel inflammation. It also stimulates the esophagus nerve endings, which in turn increases the secretion of mucus. Increased mucus secretion can help protect the gastrointestinal tract from ulcers and excessive acidity. Adds saliva secretion and helps treating dry mounth.
Slippery elm is also suitable for inflammation-related respiratory diseases.
Excellent bowel treatment with the licorice root.
Dosage horse 500 kg: 1-2 tbsp 1-2 gr / day.
Dog: 1 tsp, 1 -2 gr / day.
1 tbsp = 7 g.
